Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
